The budget debate is ultimately a debate about priorities and which side elected officials are on. Conservatives are proposing big tax cuts for corporations and the wealthy, paid for by draconian cuts to investments, services and earned benefits. Progressives are fighting for budget policies that create jobs, combat inequality, rebuild our communities and ensure that the wealthy and corporations pay their fair share of taxes.
