House Hearing on Impeachment in IRS Probe

As noted in my earlier post, I testified this morning at the House Judiciary Committee’s hearing to consider impeachment principles in connection with the IRS targeting of conservative groups, the revenue agency’s alleged obstruction of that investigation, and the specific question whether Commissioner John A. Koskinen should be impeached. Also testifying were Jonathan Turley of George Washington University Law School, Michael Gerhardt of the UNC School of Law, and Todd Garvey of the Library of Congress. The Committee has now posted video of the hearing, here. It lasted a little over two hours. There’s a few-minute delay at the start of the posted video, but then things get going. At the same Committee link, those interested can find the written testimony submitted by me and by the other three lawyers.
