Clinton Promises to Expand Failed Energy Polices

Why does US energy policy have to save the world?

It actually doesn’t, and in fact it can’t, but you’d never know it from the way Hillary Clinton talks about it.

Clinton plans to subsidize a half billion solar panels by 2020 and to run “every home in America” on renewable energy by 2027. These programmatic goals are intended as a bold answer to climate change, but they are in reality just preposterous. She leaves out minor details like the cost, and the great technical problems for the grid of so much intermittent solar energy. Her plans, potentially costing taxpayers a trillion or more dollars, also will do nothing to combat climate change even if in the unlikely event they are completed.
