Obama's Regulatory Volley May Impede Trump's Plans

President Obama has less than one month left to cement his legacy, and he and his team do not appear to be spending it relaxing over eggnog. In recent weeks, the President has made portions of the Atlantic and Arctic oceans “"ndefinitely off limits to offshore oil and gas leasing," designated over one million acres of western lands as national monuments and blocked construction of a disputed segment of the Dakota Access Pipeline. While these actions made headlines, the flurry of midnight regulations is getting less notice, even though regulatory impacts may be as significant and lasting.
