WASHINGTON, May 16--Sen. Sessions spoke on the Senate floor today during the debate on a number of different budget plans offered by Republicans, including three from Republican Senators and one approved by the House of Representatives. Because no member of the majority party has been willing to call up President Obama's plan, Republicans introduced his budget as well. Last year, President Obama's budget was defeated in the Senate by a vote of 0-97.
Sen. Sessions characterized his Democrat colleagues' refusal to budget as: "We're in Washington, we're having fun... send more money."
