From producer Harvey Weinstein to actor Kevin Spacey, Hollywood's reputation has been rocked by sexual harassment allegations. But the movie industry's closet isn't the only one with skeletons in it.
America's labor movement, which has long touted its pro-worker bona fides, has a troubling harassment history of its own. This became apparent recently as female employees of the Service Employees International Union (SEIU) came forward with allegations of sexual misconduct. Executive Vice President Scott Courtney, who had led the union's aggressive Fight for $15 minimum wage campaign, recently resigned from his post after complaints surfaced about his relationships with female staffers.
