Joe Biden’s first press conference served as a poignant reminder of two things: First, the U.S. doesn’t really have a president, but a failing old man doing as he’s told. Second, there’s no journalism being practiced by today’s media.
The president’s condition carries numerous and obvious risks, but the media’s malfeasance constitutes by far the greater peril. Even as the nation’s journalists are rapidly becoming members of the most hated profession in the country, they show no interest in changing from left-wing propagandists to objective chroniclers, a posture that means that those people who get most of their news from the legacy media are being shown nothing that challenges the prevailing narrative.
And what is that narrative? That this is, and always has been, a racist country; that white people are born racist; that freedom of speech is a front for the promotion of white interests; that national borders are inherently racist; and that efforts made to protect against election fraud are racist.
