On April 29, Adam Andrzejewski and Courtenay Lyons of the government-transparency group Open the Books hosted a conversation with Adam Brandon of FreedomWorks to discuss the Joe Biden administration’s first 100 days in office and the ongoing advocacy efforts of both organizations to combat the growth of government.
Andrzejewski began the event by highlighting Open the Books’ investigative efforts, particularly its having filed a record 40,000 Freedom of Information Act requests in the previous year. Andrzejewski then introduced Adam Brandon, president of FreedomWorks, a nonprofit that advocates for limiting the size of government. Brandon was asked to discuss the Biden administration’s first 100 days in office. He responded that the president sought to move America’s economy in a more European direction.
