United Airlines received $7.7 billion from the 2020 COVID-19 congressional stimulus packages and stands to receive even more from the American Rescue Plan.
Yet, the major commercial airline is planning to lay off 2,500 of its catering staff in Newark, Cleveland, Denver, Houston, and Honolulu.
