Rising Opioid Deaths Require Coordinated Response

America’s enemies realize that they cannot defeat the U.S. militarily. This forces them to devise ways to weaken our republic from within by inciting chaos. Russia and China have been linked to voter fraud and indirect funding to subversive groups whose civil disobedience has already resulted in a significant decline in policing, creating more civil unrest. Then there is the corruption of our government officials by foreign governments who use blackmail, amongst other methods, to achieve their ends. Another weapon in their arsenal to destroy America is drugs.   

An alarming rise in the number of drug overdose deaths in 2020 shows just how far we still must go to end the opioid epidemic in the United States. Recently released data from the Centers for Disease Control shows that in 2020, over 90,000 Americans succumbed to a drug overdose death, the highest number on record and a shocking reversal after years of progress in reducing deaths.
