After a series of mass shootings killing over 20 people, including children, Democrats are pushing a bill to nationalize “red flag” laws. The proposed bill, H.R. 2377, passed in the House by a narrow margin of 22, including five votes by Republicans.
While red flag laws are widely endorsed by liberals and Democrats as “common sense” to combat mass shootings, gun rights advocates believe such measures violate due process and are prone to abuse.
