Texans who cannot afford a reliable connection to high-speed broadband deserve the ability to compete for jobs, education, and access to healthcare. In a bipartisan effort to deliver internet connectivity to Americans who cannot afford it, Congress approved the establishment of the Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP). Through the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), which oversees the program, the ACP helps people get connected, allowing Americans to lead better lives and fully contribute to our society and economy.
To date, more than 19 million American families have enrolled in the program, providing broadband access that has changed the lives of so many of their neighbors.
