Why Liberal Democracies Should Defeat Totalitarian Iran

When the Peoples Republic of China was admitted into the WTO in 2001, the world (wishfully) stopped reminding itself of a social science fact:  totalitarian regimes cannot reform; they do not evolve into liberal democratic states; they spiral into greater totalitarianism until they lash out or implode. They are incompatible with modernity.
