Republicans, Democrats Split on Israel

A major story these last few years has been disaffection with Israel. You can’t deny the polling, which shows that a growing number of Americans in both parties are critical of the Jewish state. According to a Pew survey released July 9, just 16 percent of Democrats and 51 percent of Republicans have a favorable view of the Israeli government, significantly smaller shares than before.
