The Defeat of Orange Man Means a Return to Happier Times
OK, so apparently Trump has lost the election, and now the country can go back to its old ways of doing things. What a relief! Now, Democrats like Hillary Clinton can destroy with impunity thousands of emails illegally stored on their personal computers; the Biden family can reap unimaginable rewards for its members by peddling their influence here and abroad; China can grow, without challenge or interruption, into the largest and richest totalitarian country in history; and Members of Congress like Maxine Waters can own homes (located outside her district, of course) valued at $4.3 million.
We owe a huge debt of gratitude for all this to the country’s so-called elite media, to billionaires like Messrs. Bloomberg and Soros, to the country’s deep state federal government employees, and to that army of wheeler-dealers in Washington for whom politics is simultaneously the science of division and the road to riches.
And the good news keeps coming! There’s little doubt that Biden will deep six Trump’s newly created 1776 Commission and endorse the New York Times’ 1619 Project, the better to teach Americans young and old that all white people are racists, and that racism infects every aspect of our history, institutions, and laws. And the sublime part is that this will happen while Biden preaches the need for “national unity.”
The only thing that didn’t work out so happily is that apparently the Republicans are going to keep control of the Senate, a fact that will undoubtedly frustrate those Woke People with plans to pack the Supreme Court, grant statehood to D.C., and legislate Green New Deal programs with the intended effect of killing fossil fuels and promoting “renewable resources,” especially those where plump seers like Al Gore have a financial interest.
Best of all we can be thankful that with Biden as our president democracy is now safe. Gone are the days when a president like Trump can resist the defense contractors, generals, and internationalists in declaring no more wars or foreign “nation building.” No more assembling a durable Middle East peace without deferring to the PLO. No more requiring our NATO partners to pay their fair share in the cost of their defense, or requiring our trading partners to play nice.
Fortunately, we can now expect our airwaves to be flooded for the next four years with sophisticates like James Carville and Whoopi Goldberg, Kellyanne Conway’s hubby, George — who never would do anything to tarnish Kellyanne’s accomplishments — and of course those warm and wise congress folk like Pelosi, Schumer, and Schiff. Last but not least, we’ll hear lots from Biden himself who, with his interpreter, will never let us forget that senility is no laughing matter.
Other things we can look forward to in our future, near and far, is a tremendous growth in Cancel Culture persecutions, the never-ending advancement of critical race theory (because you can never get enough of this stuff), and identity politics as a kind of new New Testament.
Truly, happy days are here again.
